ActionSA Backs ANC on VAT Hike, DA Criticizes Move
ActionSA has supported the ANC in approving a 1% VAT increase over two years, drawing sharp criticism from the Democratic Alliance (DA). The DA opposed the hike, arguing it will raise living costs and block needed fiscal reforms. It accused ActionSA of reversing its stance and the ANC of sidestepping the Government of National Unity to push through the budget. ActionSA has yet to respond.
