A seasoned professional with two decades of experience, Reneé Thompson is a dedicated Researcher, Government & Government Liaison Officer.
Her academic credentials include a Masters in Journalism from Stellenbosch University, and she is currently undertaking PhD research on the legislative process of the South African Government and Portfolio Committees. Reneé’s commitment to public service is underscored by her recognition as one of the inaugural recipients of the Apolitical Academy Public Service Fellowships. Beyond her professional roles, Reneé leads Thompson Trust’s corporate social investment programs through Susters 4 Life. Her extensive background includes roles within the African National Congress (ANC) Caucus at Government, drafting political party statements, speech writing, internal communications management, and stakeholder and media management, and serving as a Government Liaison Officer for two Cabinet Ministers.
